Route 10 uses one key, and route 9 used a different key, under your plan. Under your system what happens in say 6 months, when they eliminate a route, or do a minor route adjustment, and then you have Street X which was previously on route 9, that was moved to route 10. Because we could be doing time in any one particular zip code for overtime, all the routes have 2 keys. ![]() one for one zip code, and one for the other 3 zipcodes that my office delivers. As it is, my office, having had half of the routes moved from another station that they eliminated, we all have 2 keys. You would have to be taking out multiple keys every day depending on what you were doing for overtime, etc. Having Multiple keys for different routes is absurd. (which is probably a low and conservative number really). I use my arrow key to open up at least 100 or more boxes/locks a day. I work in a downtown area, where nearly every residential area has multiple locks inside buildings, and residential areas have clusterboxes for the 3-10 apartments at each building. Arrow keys are an inventoried item, and they dont often get "lost". ![]() Your plan or idea is more burdensome than its worth.
